I’ve been super busy so this post is really late, but I wanted to get it in before I corner tonight xD

So my birthday was on Friday the 14th. I decided to get one last roll in on Thursday night at the advanced open mat at 10th Planet Costa Mesa. This led to some good and bad news xP…

The good news: I was there to witness Andy Balmore’s brown belt promotion from Ron Turner and Casey Halstead after 12 years of training and fighting.

The bad news: Trying to counter a kimura attempt with spin-around armbar, I instead pulled off a spin-around step-wrong-and-pop-my-ankle. So I got to go into my birthday icing my foot and limping xP.

Bonus: Got to watch a former student of mine that I got started at a pro wrestling school make his official professional wrestling debut on my birthday at Brian Kendrick’s Wrestling Pro Wrestling after training for the last two years straight for it!
