Onto the CXF MMA show at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City after the Jiu Jitsu tournament earlier in the day. We had Gabriel Green and Marlen Magee fighting. Josh Jones was supposed to be on the card as well, but his opponent pulled out due to injury on the Tuesday before the fight.

Gabe was coming back from his first fight since his loss at Bellator. He was fight #5 on the card. Around a minute in, Gabe got taken down into full guard. Gabe's opponent started throwing big punches to the body while Gabe was throwing elbows to the head from the bottom. After an attempted guard pass to the mount, Gabe landed a sweep and got into top position and directly to back control as his opponent tried to get up. Gabe held a body-triangle for the rest of the fight as he landed what had to be a good 50 BIG hammer-fists to the ribs until his opponent gave up his neck and gave Gabe the win by first round rear naked choke.

Unfortunately Marlen's fight — which was 8th on the card — went in the opposite direction. After trading a few good kicks on the feet, Marlen's opponent landed a takedown and soon after took Marlen's back and won via RNC.
