Back in tournament action for the Subfighter No Gi Spring Challenge. I went to coach Tameem Hamoui as usual. This tournament was a redemption run for him after the last couple of tournaments didn't turn out so great.

Tameem had 3 matches and ran through his opponents while continuing to work his Baret Yoshida-style crucifix game. Match #1 he won by by armlock from the crucifix position. Match #2 was more of the crucifix position, but Tameem's opponent stayed out of enough danger to not get submitted but still lose on points. Then in the final, Tameem locked on a shiago (Mir lock) from the guard around a minute into the match to take 1st place in the advanced division.
