Pictures from Bellator 160 at the Anaheim Pond (Honda Center). Gabriel Green won his Bellator debut with a 2nd round TKO off of an uppercut. Bonus shot of AJ giving an interview after winning his fight.
Shots from Angel’s fight in Combate Americas in Los Angeles. The venue (Exchange LA) had an amazing feel with 2 levels and no bad seats. The fights were also streamed on UFC Fight Pass which was a nice bonus. We had Angel Oliveras fighting at 125 and unfortunately he did not come away with a win this time. After trading a few times in the first round, Angel let his emotions get the better of him and fought angry instead of sticking to the gameplan.
Another late update from the Lights Out Promotions show on April 22 in Studio City, CA. We had Josh Jones fighting in the show again. After a dominant first two rounds of ground and pound, he got cut by an elbow in the 3rd round during a takedown. In the end it didn’t do much to stop him and he won via 3rd round submission due to mounted guillotine.
Next up, Angel Oliveras’ pro debut on May 9 and Gabriel Green’s 2nd fight on June 9.
A month late on this update. But these shots were from the April 9 Knockout Promotions amateur MMA show. We had three guys fighting and our sister Subfighter gym had three fighters in the show as well.
Brandon Hartstein won his MMA debut by armbar in the first round. Jesse Herrera also won his debut due to his opponent quitting between rounds. Unfortunately Long Tran lost his fight and brought his record to 1-1.
Back home from Gabriel Green’s professional MMA debut at Fight Club OC. He fought at lightweight against 2-0 Andrew Lagdaan. In the first round, Gabe ate a handful of kicks and fought off a takedown to land some heavy shots in the second half of the round and really keep the pressure on to test his opponents cardio. In the second round after fighting back from a takedown, Gabe took opponents back and won with an RNC, upping his record to 7-0 (1-0 pro).
