Sunday, August 7, 2022. Judging for CAMO again. This time for Royal Combat 4 at the Carson Event Center in Carson, California.

I got some more CAMO judging in this weekend. Saturday was Spar Star 50 at the Commerce Casino with 13 fights on the card. Sunday was Bas Rutten's TAO MMA at the Hyatt Regency in Westlake Village and has 4 MMA fights and 3 grappling matches.

Last night was Celtic Gladiator 31 at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California. It was a Pro-Am show and I was there to work the six amateur fights with CAMO as well as corner one of our pros, Emilio Williams, in his fight. Mike Segura from Adam Lynn's Subfighter was also fighting on the pro card.

Last night I made my return to judging fights after nearly 6 years off. It was for Cagebound Fighting Championships 5 at Don Quixote Nightclub in Los Angeles.

Since I was working the event, I don't have a ton of chances for pictures. But I was able to get a handful!

Spent the weekend at Herb Dean’s yearly MMA referee camp. It’s been over 4 years since I have reffed or judged MMA and I had been thinking about getting back into it for awhile. My friend/training partner Jenn, who also happens to be the operations manager for the camp, told me about it and suggested I take the course. I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and take the course to get brushed up on the finer details of the unified rules (which, after taking the course I realized, no matter how well you think you know the rules, you probably don’t).
