Back home from Bellator 170. We had Gabriel Green fighting for them again. This time, at The Forum in Inglewood, California. He had one of the best fight camps of his career and felt better than ever going into the fight. His opponent was a super tall, lanky striker. They were the 3rd fight of the night. Unfortunately, things didn’t go our way this time as Gabe took a shot directly to the temple early in the first round. He dropped and that caused the ref to stop the fight. Gabe didn’t even get the chance to get any offense going. But, that happens sometimes.

So I’ve been slacking on updating the blog a bit, but not without reason! Last Sunday (Dec 11, 2016) we had our team competing in the Russ Miura Subfighter (sister-school) Holiday Nogi Challenge. We had ~18 people competing, and with only myself and Tracy coaching, there wasn’t much time for pictures.

We had 9 promotions.

Blue: Gabriela Ochoa, Long Tran, Patrick Fernandez, Hector Ruiz & Jesse Herrera

Purple: Ryan Medina, Josh Jones & Bryson Gutches

Brown: Brett Cooper

Congratulations to everyone that got promoted. Some of these were wayyy overdue!

Back from the CXF at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City. Our fighter Josh Jones was on the card as well as Young Jun “Carl” Lee who cross trains with us.

Josh was dominant from start to finish and win via first round TKO after dropping his opponent with a right-hook, left-cross combination.

Another Knockout Fight League event at Metroflex Long Beach in the books. We only had one of our fighters on the card, but one of our sister Subfighter schools has two people in the card. There were also 3 people on the card from Body Shop that cross train with us. This time around, all 6 came away with wins!
